Next Meeting: February 7th, 2015

Hey Wood Wizards!  Happy New year, carvers. I hope that the holidays brought you lots of carving goodies!

The first Saturday in February will be a surprise meeting. Come and see what’s in store for your gathering of friends. No clues, just come and experience some fun!

Every January we collect dues. If you haven’t paid your $10 yearly dues please make your checks out to Butch Wilkens and bring it to the next meeting.

Just for fun, here is a poem that Linda submitted

10 little members

10 little members, standing in a line,
One disliked the president, and then there were nine.
Nine ambitious members offered to work late
One forgot her promise, then there were eight.
One lost her inthusiasm, then there were seven.
Seven loyal members got into a fix,
They quarreled over money, and then there were six.
Six loyal members kept the club alive
But one went back to work, and then there were five.
The remaining five were tired, the programs begin to bore,
The youngest left for art class, now we’re down to four
For cheerful members who never disagree,
Till one complained of the long meetings, then there were three.
Three eager members; what do they do?
A husband retired so they’re off traveling, which left only two.
Two lonely members; our rhyme is nearly done,
One joined a bridge closed, and then there was one.

One faithful member was feeling rather blue,
Met with a neighbor, and then there were two.
To Ernest members each enrolled one more,
Doubling their number, then there were four.
For determined members just couldn’t wait
Till each one another and then there were eight!
Eight excited members signed up 16 more,
And then another six verses, there’ll be 1024!
